Daiwa has done a great job with the aluminum frame which has been cut down to make it lighter in weight and also give you a better feel in the palm of your hand. The drag system is great putting out up to 26 lbs of max drag. Six corrosion resistant bearings makes it very smooth and protects it from the elements. This Saltist features a two-speed mechanism that allows you to easily switch between high and low gear ratio. Now you can fish for a wide range of fish from bottom fishing to high speed vertical jigging with the same reel! Daiwa Saltist 2-Speed Lever Drag Reels were made for fishing in saltwater.
