The Penn Fathom Level Wind Reel is packed with workhorse features that include a full metal body and sideplates of corrosion resistant aluminum. The main gear is composed of marine-grade bronze alloy for strength and the precision-machined pinion gear is made of stainless steel. Three shielded stainless steel ball bearings and an instant anti-reverse bearing with silent back up ratchet enhances the reel’s smooth performance. The stainless steel level wind system is Titanium coated.
The patented Versa-Drag system with HT-100 washers can handle the load with out jerking or heating up. The HT-100 washers have a larger drag surface than other reels in the class. The spool is highlighted with line capacity rings, giving the angler the line remaining at a glance.
Available in five sizes, the Fathom 40 and 60 models are equipped with reversible Harness Lugs. All models are braid ready.
