Penn Torque Spinning Reels - Bailless
The Penn Torque Bailless Spinning Reel is the perfect competitor to Van Staal and Zeebaas surf reels. Designed from the ground up with a fully sealed body and drag. For surf fishermen the advantage of this feature is undeniable. With the Torque you can get the reel wet, fully submerge the reel, turn the handle while underwater, and no saltwater or sand will penetrate the body. Now you can concentrate more on fishing rather than on your gear. Also, when you get off the water you will not have to spend time ardously cleaning the internals of the reel because it will remain dry and sand free.
The Penn Torque features a one-piece aluminum frame, aluminum spool, sideplates and handle arm. Seven sealed stainless steel ball bearings make it nice and smooth and its marine grade bronze gear allows it to hold up under heavy pressure. Add to that an oversized HT-100 waterproof drag system that puts out up to 50 lbs at max drag and you've got a very rugged, powerful spinning reel that can handle even the biggest striped bass from the beach. While these reels have no bail, the Torque is also available in full bail models.
The Penn Torque Bailless Spinning Reels are available in three sizes and two colors, Penn gold, and black. All Penn Torque reels are Made in the USA and are built to last a lifetime!
