I wanted to give you an update on what's going on at J&H during the pandemic. There are a bunch of moving parts so I am going to break it down by in-store and online. If after reading this you still have questions, please email email@example.com.
We are shipping at a much slower pace than normal due to the lack of man power and an overwhelming number of orders.
We are no longer taking orders over the phone or answering questions about order status over the phone. If you want to check your order status, please log in to your J&H account and go to Your Orders. You can also email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Due to the Corona Virus, the front end of our store has been shutdown by New York State. That means customers are not permitted inside the store for any reason. We are running with a skeleton crew and are taking phone calls but please understand that you might have to call a few times to get someone on the phone as the volume of calls outpaces the ability of our limited staff. We are accepting online orders to ship out and for in-store pickup. We are not accepting cash at this time. All of these orders will be processed through our web site and you will recieve an email once your order is ready to pick up. Once you receive the email, you can come to the back of the shop Mon-Sat 9am-5pm. When you get outside the shop, please give us a call to let us know you are there and we will bring it to you through the back door.
We have applied to be considered an essential business but have not heard back from New York State yet. So under our current designation, we would not be able to re-open in the normal way until at least May 15th.
Our online store is up and running and we are taking orders and shipping orders. We are running with a skeleton crew so please undertsand that shipping times will be delayed. We are trying our best to get orders out but it will take longer than normal. Also, a lot of our vendors are working with a skeleton crew or are closed completely so this impacts us getting product. If you have an order that you need right away or you want to make changes, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Also, we undertand that you are excited to receive your order but we would appreciate it if you would email us asking the status of your order rather than calling. Having a physical person in the shop taking phone calls about order status just uses resources that are better spent getting orders shipped.
Rod & Reel Repair Drop Off and Pickup
If you have already dropped off a rod or reel to be repaired, we will call you when it is ready for pick up. If you have not, you can schedule an appointment for dropping it off. Please email email@example.com.
If you need to get your reels spooled, we can accommodate you. Please order the line you want on our web site and select in-store pickup. In the notes section during check out, please inidcate that you want to use the line to have your reel spooled. We will send you an email notification that it is ready for pickup. Once you recieve the email, you can come to the back of the shop. When you arrive at the store, give us a call and we will bring it out to you.
If you would like to buy bait, please visit https://www.jandh.com/products/j-h-tackle-bait.html. We are not taking bait orders over the phone. Orders that only have bait in them can be picked up the same day. Bait orders are in-store pick up only.
