Dark Matter Inshore Spinning Rods have gotten a refresh for 2021. After feedback from the guys who work at J&H as well as customers we have upgraded them to be even better than the originals. While we kept the same look, these rods now feature a full cork rear grip that looks as good as it performs. They are still outfitted with Fuji Alconite K guides, which are made for fishing braided lines and reducing tangles, a Fuji TVSTS reel seat with cut outs on both sides so you can feel every vibration through the blank and comfortable cork grips. The Dark Matter blank has been redesigned and a lot of technology went into it to make it stronger and more sensitive. We made slight alterations ot the actions based on feedback and they are now extremely accurate to what is marked on each rod. To complete the series we created a heavy action that is a tremendous rod for throwing big plugs to bass and heavy bottom fishing. It's great for tarpon! Whether you’re down in the marshes of Southern Louisiana stalking trophy redfish, or out on the East End of Long Island throwing plugs at migrating cow stripers, the Dark Matter will transcend your fishing experience. This modern masterpiece will transfer amazing power all the way from the tip through the grip to give you an incredible handle on your prey.
Dark Matter Rods are black with a hint of silver. They are all 7' one-piece. 1-Year Dark Matter Warranty.

Feel as though like this rod is really under appreciated.... but definitely worth the purchase. I picked up the DMIS70MHF model back in March 2020 and have been using it exclusively off bay docks, bay shores, and charter boats for bass, blues, fluke, and sea bass. This rod is such a treat to fish with. Have this paired with a Penn Clash 3000, and it almost feels like you are fishing with a feather with how incredibly light it is (Total weigh around 1 lb). With the light weight..... it is also very sensitive and you can feel literally everything on it. So far i have pulled in a 6lb fluke and some decent bass ranging from 20-30 inches on it without any issues. Can't go wrong with this rod
