Penn Slammer III Spinning Reels

Penn Slammer III Spinning Reels are new for 2017! Though it shares the Slammer name of past reels, the Slammer III is very different. These reels are made to be strong, and powerful. The Slammer III features all aluminum construction with a sealed Dura-Drag system. This is Penn's top of the line drag system and creates huge drag pressure ranging from 30-60 lbs at max depending on the reel size. The internal gears are all CNC brass. Combine this with six sealed stainless steel ball bearings and you get a reel that is as smooth as it is powerful! Penn has included several seals in this reel to keep water, salt and sand on the outside of the reel. The Slammer III is perfect for fishing from a boat or from the beach. It can handle getting sprayed or getting hit by a wave. For the average fisherman, the Penn Slammer III has more than enough protection from the elements than one would need. These reels also feature a thick bail wire and great aluminum handle with an aluminum ball knob. Penn even includes an EVA knob in the box if you'd like to swap out the aluminum one. Penn Slammer III Spinning Reels are the next evolution of Penn reels. If you're fishing an old slammer, you should retire it and get yourself a new one. You will love it!

Penn Slammer III Spinning Reels are available in eight sizes. Reels are black with gold accents. There are two high speed models made for jigging that are black with red accents.
