A large addition to the Spinfisher V lineup, the 7500 size has a more powerful HT100 VersaDrag system that maxes out at 35#, giving you a larger range of species now including smaller pelagics like blackfin tuna, dorado, and king mackerel. Used from the surf, the Penn Spinfisher V 7500 Spinning Reel will perform its best on a large, heavy 11 or 12 foot surf stick fishing big baits for cow bass or even roosterfish down in the tropics. Being a sealed reel, either the grit from the surf, or spray from the ocean won’t faze your SSV7500. Line capacity won’t be an issue here – the Penn Spinfisher V SSV7500 Spinning Reel will hold over 300 yards of 65# braided line.

If you are looking for taking some serious fighting fish on then this reel is the ticket. With such reliability in Penn you can assure that the drag will hold up to even the biggest sport fish. The bailless version gives that power in a version where surf casters may need it. Only drawback is it is heavy and the handle knob should have been an EVA one instead of the cheap plastic. Penn most likely cut corners in areas to keep the price down and what I noticed is they didn't cut the price in the most important areas. Awesome reel!!!
Best reel I've ever owned. I beat it to death in the surf and it never fails. Just rinse it in fresh water after you're done and you'll never have a problem.
This is a great reel. I'm glad Penn still produces this line. I purchased the 4500 LL from josh and i do not regret it at all. No wind knots, the bail doesnt close on you at all. i landed a 31" redfish in the florida grass flats and it hit like a train. the drag is very impressive and strong. it takes little increments to increase the pressure on the drag. you dont need to crank the drag knob 3-4 turns. quarter turns and youre set. the reel is a little on the heavy side but because lf the weight, it has strength and durability. great reel and would recommend to anyone whos looking for a bullet proof reel may you be a beginner or advanced angler.
