Product Description

The Shimano Saragosa SW SRG20000SW Spinning Reel is a true bluewater beheamoth! Seriously, the power of the SRG20000SW puts it in a class where only warriors roam, able to target large yellowfin and bluefin tuna, wahoo, sailfish, and even white or striped marlin! This reel is bursting with new and amazing Shimano features that make you wonder how this piece of machinery is only 350 bones. For starters, the SRG20000SW employs a tough new drag system called X ToughDrag – this system uses Dartainium drag washers to pump out a jacked up 44# of drag, which puts the drag range on the same level as a Talica 25!! 6 Shielded A-RB ball bearings are spread throughout the Hargane body of the reel, including the 2 X-Ship bearings at either end of the pinion gear ensuring no gear slippage even at insane drag pressures. X-Rigid gearing, which also appears in the storied Stella series, ensures incredibly fluid gear meshing which translates to an ultra-powerful crank. A powerful 4.4:1 gear ratio lets you put the screws on a tuna who doesn’t seem to want to cooperate, and still will rip in 41 inches of line per crank. The Shimano Saragosa SRG2000SW Spinning Reel comes equipped with a rugged cold forged aluminum spool which is capable of holding 500 yards of 65# standard braid, more if you’re running a slim diameter braid.

    Love the reel

Took my new 20000 Saragossa to Florida with 500 yards of 80 lb braid. I matched it with 7.5 ft OTI tuna popping rod and love it. I caught grouper, big red snapper, and amberjack jigging butterfly jigs off the bottom in up to 300 ft of water. The nice part is the line retrieve rate, so it doesn't take so long to reel in. I will take it to Venice, LA in the spring for Yellowfin tuna. At 2:07 of this video is one of my victims: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQ-lhuxBQNI&list=UURjvuQEnYjHVWxvdYAGGt5g

biased review as ive always only used Shimano. "the devil you know"

i bought the 10000. feels heavy duty. feels slight bind. maybe its normal. not sure as this is my first saltwater reel. ive had the bail close one couple times on a cast. very minimal in feature but it gets the job done.
