Shimano Stella FI Spinning Reels have been completely redesigned for 2014. Shimano has incorporated a lot of new features all in an effort to make the Stella FI better than the previous model. The Stella FI is smoother, stronger and better in almost every way. Shimano has shifted the reels center of gravity to reduce fatigue and enhance your experience while casting. The Stella FI also features a micromodule gear that reduces vibration in the reel, making it smoother without resistance. When you turn the handle on the new Stella, it is effortless. Although this series was designed for freshwater fishing, it can be used in saltwater and Shimano has made great efforts to protect it from corrosion. They have added Coreprotect, a feature that makes components of the reel water resistant. This includes the body, line roller and roller clutch. They have also coated the spool with their E.I. Surface Treatment that can be found in their high-end saltwater reels. The new Shimano Stella FI Spinning Reels are a big improvement over the previous model and you will love fishing with one!
Shimano Stella FI Spinning Reels are available in four sizes. Fish them with your favorite braid or mono.

Once you use a Shimano Stella, you won't want to use any other spinning reel on the market! This is my 3rd Shimano Stella and I still can't believe Shimano finds a way to improve on a outstanding spinning reel time after time. I use the Stella for inshore Saltwater Fishing and haven't experienced any corrosion issues, gears binding, premature bail flip, wind knots, bearing failures or drag failures. Mist them with fresh water, dry them off and they're good to go. All my Stella Reels are still out of the box smooth after years of use. My favorite features of the Stella is the effortless turning of the handle even with a large fish hooked, Quiet function and the SUPER SMOOTH and ACCURATE DRAG under any pressure. I've never lost a fish due to any malfunction of any Stella Reel that I own. Yes, they're expensive, but you won't have the buyers remorse that you may get from another manufactures "Premium" fishing reels. 100% Worth it.
