The Shimano Stella FI STL3000XGFI Spinning Reel is perhaps the all around best bass spinning reel money can buy. The cranking of this reel is exquisite, as 14 S-ARB ball bearings and top-of-the-line Paladin gearing are at the heart of the STL3000XGFI. Professional bass fisherman will tell you that this reel is one of the best they’ve ever used, and you’ll be sure to agree once you fish it as well. Perfect for both large and smallmouth bass, walleye, pike, trout and more, the STL3000XGFI can cross over the spectrum and be fished in saltwater for fluke, weakfish, seatrout, schoolie stripers and reds, and even some small snook. There’s plenty of stopping power, as 20# of waterproof drag can put the screws to even big slobs. The XG notation that graces the reel denotes a lightning fast 6.4:1 gear ratio, perfect for topwater plugs, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and bucktailing. The Shimano Stella FI STL3000XGFI Spinning Reel is ready for battle, and comes with a rugged CF Cold Forged Aluminum spool that can handle 200 yards of standard 30# braid, but more importantly it can take 100 yards of 50# test braid making this reel perfect for fishing snaggy areas where you need to power through some ruffage to find the fish.

Once you use a Shimano Stella, you won't want to use any other spinning reel on the market! This is my 3rd Shimano Stella and I still can't believe Shimano finds a way to improve on a outstanding spinning reel time after time. I use the Stella for inshore Saltwater Fishing and haven't experienced any corrosion issues, gears binding, premature bail flip, wind knots, bearing failures or drag failures. Mist them with fresh water, dry them off and they're good to go. All my Stella Reels are still out of the box smooth after years of use. My favorite features of the Stella is the effortless turning of the handle even with a large fish hooked, Quiet function and the SUPER SMOOTH and ACCURATE DRAG under any pressure. I've never lost a fish due to any malfunction of any Stella Reel that I own. Yes, they're expensive, but you won't have the buyers remorse that you may get from another manufactures "Premium" fishing reels. 100% Worth it.
