The Shimano Saragosa SRG6000SW Spinning Reel is a great middle range sealed spinning reel that can be utilized from the surf, kayak, or boat with amazing effectiveness. This reel falls into a very special category – coming in at just under 260 beans, the Saragosa 6000 performs like a reel that costs 3 times as much! Packed with innovative Shimano Technologies, the SRG6000SW has quickly become a best-selling reel here at J&H – anglers love its versatility, and more importantly its seals. The watertight SRG6000 packs a heavy punch as well, pumping out 22# of silky smooth drag thanks to the new X-ToughDrag system. Matched perfectly on either a 7 foot medium heavy boat spinning rod, or 8-9 foot surf stick, the SRG6000SW has the necessary power to target tough inshore predatory species like stripers, redfish, snook, tarpon, and kelp bass. Thanks to the SRG6000SW’s larger spool diameter, you can also target small pelagic species including cobia, dorado, and kingfish. The Saragosa 6000 comes with Shimano’s patented X-Ship technology, which strategically places an S-ARB ball bearing at either end of the pinion gear ensuring maximum rigidity and strength when hooked up. The Shimano Saragosa SRG6000SW Spinning Reel will hold about 300 yards of 30# braid, and I’d recommend an 8 weave braid to really get the most out of the reel.

i bought the 10000. feels heavy duty. feels slight bind. maybe its normal. not sure as this is my first saltwater reel. ive had the bail close one couple times on a cast. very minimal in feature but it gets the job done.
Took my new 20000 Saragossa to Florida with 500 yards of 80 lb braid. I matched it with 7.5 ft OTI tuna popping rod and love it. I caught grouper, big red snapper, and amberjack jigging butterfly jigs off the bottom in up to 300 ft of water. The nice part is the line retrieve rate, so it doesn't take so long to reel in. I will take it to Venice, LA in the spring for Yellowfin tuna. At 2:07 of this video is one of my victims: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQ-lhuxBQNI&list=UURjvuQEnYjHVWxvdYAGGt5g
