The Shimano Saragosa SRG8000SW Spinning Reel begins to break into the pelagic arena, while still retaining the size and dexterity needed to target inshore species from the surf or boat as well. The SRG8000 will pump out 27# drag thanks to the innovative X-ToughDrag system, and the cold forged spool will hold well over 300 yards of 40# braid. You’re looking at a range from large stripers all the way through small yellowfin – talk about a multitasker! You can match your SRG8000 with a 9 or 10 foot surf rod or a 7-8 foot heavy action boat spinning rod for maximum effectiveness. Thanks to 5 Shielded A-RB ball bearings placed throughout the Hargane Body of the reel, the SRG8000SW is incredibly smooth. Shimano’s X-Ship technology, which places bearings at either end of the pinion gear, ensures your X-Rigid gears stay perfectly aligned even when under extreme pressure. Because the Saragosa 8000 is a sealed reel, don’t worry about waves splashing on your reel or sea spray covering it on the steam out to the grounds. The Shimano Saragosa SRG8000SW Spinning Reel has a comfortable egg shaped handle that will keep your hand comfortable and cramp free when cranking down on big stubborn fish.

i bought the 10000. feels heavy duty. feels slight bind. maybe its normal. not sure as this is my first saltwater reel. ive had the bail close one couple times on a cast. very minimal in feature but it gets the job done.
Took my new 20000 Saragossa to Florida with 500 yards of 80 lb braid. I matched it with 7.5 ft OTI tuna popping rod and love it. I caught grouper, big red snapper, and amberjack jigging butterfly jigs off the bottom in up to 300 ft of water. The nice part is the line retrieve rate, so it doesn't take so long to reel in. I will take it to Venice, LA in the spring for Yellowfin tuna. At 2:07 of this video is one of my victims: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQ-lhuxBQNI&list=UURjvuQEnYjHVWxvdYAGGt5g
