All Dark Matter and Sloopster Rods come with a warranty. Our rods have been rigorously tested to make sure that each one is of the highest quality. That being said, fishing rods are sensitive. They are made for fishing but don't do well in non-fishing situations. Every year, countless rods from every manufacturer get destoryed by car doors, being stepped on, and general misuse. We've gotten really good at determining how a rod was broken, so please don't try to fool us. We have tailored our warranties to not only cover the potential for a manufacturing issue, but also for those times when accidents happen.
All Dark Matter Inshore Rods come with a three year limited warranty that covers the rod against non-conformities in material and workmanship. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidents, or abuse. If your rod breaks due to normal wear and tear, accident or abuse, we will replace it for $75. J&H is the sole judge and has final say in all replacement claims. Warranty applies to one-piece and travel versions. There is no warranty on a replacement rod.
