Penn Clash Spinning Reels are the best Penn spinning reels ever made! Packed with technology, the Clash lineup covers a wide variety of fishing. Penn Clash Spinning Reels are constructed of aluminum with an aluminum/brass main gear and brass pinion gear that makes them powerful and smooth. The Clash features eight sealed stainless steel ball bearings for excellent corrosion resistance, an instant anti-reverse bearing, an aluminum spool with line capacity rings, a heavy-duty bail wire and a sealed top of the line HT-100 drag system that delivers smooth drag. The smaller models are outfitted with a carbon fiber Techno-balanced rotor while the larger sizes get an aluminum version. This greatly reduces wobble and makes the Clash rigid. To top it all off, the Clash has the new Leveline slow oscillation system that lays braided line flat to create excellent casts. Whether you fish for trout or tarpon, there is a Penn Clash Spinning Reel for you.
Penn Clash Spinning Reels are available in seven sizes. Never fished a Penn reel before? The time is now!

Just got my reel today and what can I say, it's a masterpiece from penn nice and light and you can feel the torque and how much power this reel has, and what's so nice about jandh is that I pre ordered the reel and it's an instant 10 percent off and just have to wait till its in stock, and I also ordered a power pro super 8 slick(20lb) to go with the reel and what so nice about them is that they spooled the line in the reel without any charge wow thanks, I just have to get the reel in the water to test it and I know it's going to perform well. I purchased the CL5000 late last year so I've only used a few times but I really love it so far. Very smooth and very well built. I did make one mistake when I purchased it. I purchased it from Penn directly. Not a good idea. It took three weeks to be delivered and the price was higher than J&H tackle. I won't make that mistake again. Stupid Hurts!
One of the lightest and smoothest spinning reels I've ever owned. I've been a Penn guy for 25 years and they really hit a home-run with this design. Excellent reel!
